Sharper focus on innovation
MARIN - Marine Research Institute Netherlands - - is performing hydrodynamic analyses and model tests for our innovative ERI-MARINE Fast Cargo Ships involved in the exciting project initially initiated for Chikara Shipping.
The vessel is a 160-metre long stabilized monohull with two symmetric outriggers for stability purposes and a service speed of 32 knots fully loaded with 94 trailers.
(The hull design was conceived by ERI-MARINE in partnership with MARIN.)
The Institute has already performed CFD calculations resulting in a truly optimized hull rather than an improved hull.
This cooperation, to fine tune the HSC Fast Cargo design, is currently proving to be successful.
